School Commissions

                                                                                             Woodnewton School

As a sculptor I am frequently asked to take art classes, give talks and demonstrations at local schools. The panels in the new outdoor theatre at Woodnewton school are part of a project by the school to use an area of the playground which was previously unsightly and unused.  The finished panels were inspired by ideas and designs of the local pupils.

Commission by Mears Ashby School 1710/2010 is a commemorative sculpture to celebrate the schools 300th anniversary

I was approached by the school for my experience and good reputation in working with schools over the past few years

The children were very creative in there ideas and designs and it soon became impossible to pick a final design. I then had to try to incorporate as many of the ideas as possible into the finished sculpture. The sculpture is based upon the A.B.C blocks we’ve all played with as children; each block represents 100years with the children’s designs on the sides

Northampton School for Girls

NSG Olympic sculpture has been made by recycling the old seating and staging from the schools theatre as part of it’s refurbishment.

Years 7′ 8 & 9 took part in designing the sculpture. We then worked with the students to develop the winning design. The finished sculpture was installed in the school grounds in 2012
